“Prawn contains an Arsenic Pentoxide (As2O5) and when someone eats prawn, followed by concentrated Vitamin C, it will cause a chemical reaction in stomach. The Arsenic Pentoxide (As2O5) in the shrimp becomes Arsenic Trioxide (As2O3), which is very poisonous. The person’s heart, liver, kidneys, and blood vessels will fail causing death. So, be careful if you eat prawn. Wait a few hours before you take Vitamin C. Don’t allow vitamin C and shrimp to occupy your stomach at the same time.’’</div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">For almost all businesses, invoices play a very big part in keeping the cash flowing in. While they are small documents done occasionally, if they aren’t done properly, it can mean the difference between a business meeting its financial obligations and one having to take more drastic measures, even closing down for good. However often business owners and freelancers interact with invoices, there are still many things that people may not know about invoices. So let’s look at the major things about invoices you may not be familiar with.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eAPmF0vFeDw/WPcg9gn29-I/AAAAAAAAEoc/km9T9iaodK8kxpVtKIvyrsYx7oRrTQxVACLcB/s1600/INVOICE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eAPmF0vFeDw/WPcg9gn29-I/AAAAAAAAEoc/km9T9iaodK8kxpVtKIvyrsYx7oRrTQxVACLcB/s200/INVOICE.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#1 Invoices are Legal Documents</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">One of the most surprising things for people is that invoices are not just financial documents. Although an invoice is a request for payment, and therefore its financial aspect is emphasized, it also provides rights for the supplier.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">The one condition in order for it to become a legal document is that both sides have already agreed to the features of the transaction before the invoice is sent. This could be a signature on the invoice or another form of agreement. In the UK, for example, if no payment date has been agreed, the customer must pay the supplier within 30 days. If the payment does not arrive in that time, the customer can use a statutory demand to place a formal request for payment.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#2 Purchase Orders Are Not Invoices</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">One of the most confused aspects of invoicing is that many people confuse invoices with purchase orders. While commonly confused, they are actually quite different.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">An invoice, as a request for payment, is created by the supplier after the goods or services have been sent to the customer. The purchase order, on the other hand, is a document created by the customer that is used to order the goods or services from a supplier. Therefore, the purchase order comes from the customer before the goods are delivered, and the invoice comes from the supplier after the goods have been sent.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#3 There Are Many Types of Invoices</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">While most businesses use the standard invoice, there are in fact quite a lot of invoices in use in everyday business operations. The specific invoice that any business will use is dependent on what type of business it is and what its operations are.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">For example, businesses involved in shipping goods across international borders will need to use a proforma invoice or commercial invoice so that customs can assess the necessary duties to impose on the goods. There are also other types of invoices such as the timesheet invoice, progress invoice and even self-billing invoice in which a customer is allowed to send an invoice to himself. While most of these invoices may not be suitable for your business, you may find other types or processes that your business can find useful.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#4 Different Regions Have Different Invoice Regulations</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">For the most part, invoicing can be pretty straightforward in many countries. This includes within the US, where the regulations are quite relaxed and invoices require only tax, depending on the state.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Therefore, if you are invoicing customers within your own country or state, it can be pretty simple. However, if you have customers abroad, that’s when things can get less clear. In Australia and Canada, for example, your invoices will need to add on GST (goods and services tax) if your invoice reaches a certain threshold. In the UK, a VAT invoice is necessary for any business that makes more than £83,000 in any 12-month period. The EU, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. It also requires VAT on invoices, but because of so many different EU member states, you’ll have to check the customer’s residence to determine exactly how much that VAT needs to be.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#5 It Can Be Used for Marketing</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Although to most an invoice is a plain, boring and even archaic-looking document, it can be much more than that. Marketers generally have a difficult time getting the attention of current and potential customers. They send out emails to their subscribers, as more opened emails mean more potential buyers, so they are always working on increasing the opening rates. One important feature to remember about invoices is that it has a very high opening rate. In fact, it is very near 100% as your customers are required to pay your invoices. With so much blank space on the invoice document itself, you can actually use that for many marketing efforts. On your invoices you can place referrals, testimonials, feedback requests, discount codes and much more.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">#6 E-invoicing is Increasing</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">With the further digitizing of more and more processes around the world, it should come as no surprise that invoices are moving into the digital world as well.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">In fact, the US federal government, which is the larger purchases in the country, is using e-invoices for about 40% of its transactions. The 2012 Global E-Invoicing Study found that 73% of its respondents had used some form of e-invoicing, which was a 14% increase from 2011. The reasoning is quite simple: e-invoicing can help businesses and governments save a lot of time and money. In fact, the US treasury estimated that the government can cut costs by up to 50% by only using e-invoicing, an annual savings of $450 million.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">These are only some of the many important things about invoicing that many business owners and freelancers may not be familiar with. However, these are also important as they can help improve your business processes, meaning reduced expenses, less time and energy wasted, and therefore greater business success.</span></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-odI-5G5jDA4/WM2ey2Dd6bI/AAAAAAAAD6E/1bTOlWJPp3waXfYBs7gBkIUOiNMFi7x9gCLcB/s1600/SHERINRAFIBLOGSPOT.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-odI-5G5jDA4/WM2ey2Dd6bI/AAAAAAAAD6E/1bTOlWJPp3waXfYBs7gBkIUOiNMFi7x9gCLcB/s200/SHERINRAFIBLOGSPOT.png" width="198" /></a><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Every online company needs to use marketing effectively to generate traffic and leads. With so many platforms available to publish the content, though, it can be difficult to pick the best option or figure out why your strategy isn't working. Those quickest to identify the latest developments and implement them in their marketing strategies have the strongest potential to convert their vision into a real brand.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Ask these five questions to overcome your digital marketing challenges:</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">1. What is your strategic outreach plan?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">If you invest in the wrong channel or platform, you can't expect to generate the returns you want. Should you invest in content marketing? How about YouTube Ads? Is there any possibility of making more sales through paid advertising? What is the impact of direct emails? The answers to those questions depend heavily on your target audience. Don't expect to multiply your campaign growth by investing heavily in textual content when your customers prefer visual.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Before starting any campaign, focus your energies on audience identification and segmentation. Research where your customers hang out, what they like and what they hate. After outlining the outreach goals, answer the following questions with ease:</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Is the chosen channel the right medium to reach the target audience?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• How are we going to refine our plan to bring in more leads and sales?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">2. Are you focusing on the non-buyers?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">That is, people who could benefit from your offer but don't buy your product/service mainly due to:</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Lack of time</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Lack of knowledge</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Cost</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Trust issues</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Successful digital marketing campaigns don't just reach buyers -- they also implement a persuasive follow-up campaign for non-buyers.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Most marketers never follow up and they miss out on an opportunity. 80 percent of all potential opportunities are lost due to lack of follow-up. Focus on your non-buyers by analyzing the buyer's journey. Tell them how your product or service recognizes and addresses their pain points. Buyers make the purchasing decision by looking for factors like customer support, alternative options and positive reviews from customers, so be prepared for that.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">3) Do you live up to expectations?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">A strong digital marketing research plan incorporates psychographic factors to capture the emotions of the target audience, because you cannot create value without knowing your customer's expectations, and for that, you need accurate profile knowledge of an ideal client. The "value proposition" is a promise made by a company to assure the better quality of their product/service over similar offerings in the market. It answers the buyer’s fundamental question: Why should I buy from you?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Develop listening, observation and learning skills. The more you listen, the more you minimize the gap between your offer and customer expectations. Watch the latest trends within your industry. Learn to fill the missing gaps from your competitors. Marketers must propagate the company's value to the masses. What's the use of delivering value if it doesn't get delivered to the right set of people?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">4) Are you building human relationships?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">A teacher buys your product -- let's say a video editing tool, to make learning both fun and engaging. What's your next plan? How can you capitalize on that sale? You could create a free educational content to help the customer understand your product, then choose an email marketing platform and put the course on an auto responder sequence. But, that shouldn't mark the end of the process. Real engagement begins when your customer raises concerns. Improve after-sales services. Attend with care.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">What else should you do?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">After launching your social media ads, devote time to responding to reader’s queries. Don't forget to reply when someone comments or share your stuff online. Appreciate the constructive feedback. You can't automate every process. Build human connections.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">5) Are you learning from your key performance indicators (KPIs)?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Make sure you understand the difference between click through rate (the percentage of people who see an ad and click on it) and landing page conversion rate (the percentage of people who make it all the way to the end of the process, whether that's to a sales page or somewhere else). Understanding the difference between performance indicators can tell you where customers are getting hung up in the process, and whether you need to change your process or use a new platform.</span></div>

Being a foodie could make you slimmer<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Foodies, you might think, would tend to be fatter than fussy eaters. Rather than eating to live, foodies live to eat, forever seeking out new and exciting morsels to feast upon, and enjoy nothing more than scaring timid eaters with their tales of culinary derring do. Wolfing down fermented badgers' sweetbreads perhaps, or sauteed fish eyes. But according to the results of a new study by Cornell University, published the in journal Obesity, intrepid eaters have reason to feel smug about both their worldly tastes and their waistlines.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1x02wKmAvxk/VzrrIaYe0UI/AAAAAAAACSk/_5TD44LxujMmXI0lGTvyLhDdTP0qDyv-ACLcB/s1600/images%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1x02wKmAvxk/VzrrIaYe0UI/AAAAAAAACSk/_5TD44LxujMmXI0lGTvyLhDdTP0qDyv-ACLcB/s1600/images%2B%25281%2529.jpg" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Among 502 American women, those who had tried foods such as kimchi, polenta and beef tongue were grouped as food neophiles (they had to tick at least nine on a list of unusual foods to quality). These women turned out to have lower BMIs than less adventurous eaters. This is significant in the obesity research field because, so far, increased food variety has been associated with weight gain.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">The Cornell team also discovered that foodies are more likely to have friends over for dinner, be more physically active and interested in being healthy and exploring their culinary heritage, and are less concerned by how expensive a food is (more on which, later).</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Conservative eaters, meanwhile, are more influenced by celebrity endorsement of foods, nice packaging, cost and ease of preparation. This knowledge, the Cornell team suggests, can be used to encourage people to be more healthily adventurous.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">So far, so good. I can't help but feel, though, that the personality trait of food neophilia might not be necessarily what's driving BMIs down. It could be money. Surely anyone with an economic advantage will be more likely to be neophilic by the study's criteria? (I think it'd be pretty hard to find many comfortably-off folks who haven't tried nine of the foods on the list). If you're better educated about health and culture, well travelled, can afford exotic foods and experimental restaurants, then you'll be a neophile for this study's purposes. It's well established that obesity falls as income rises, although interestingly, this trend is more marked among women and children than it is among men.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">That said, there are picky eaters and true omnivores in every social group. I, for example, hate offal, milk and smelly cheese. I live to eat, and I'm a food neophile according to this study, but I'm pretty fussy for a former food editor. However, there are ways, other than packaging and celebrities, to get over food hatreds.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">First, know that very few food aversions are innate. A loathing of coriander is a rare example of a genetic aversion, but most are purely psychological, and can easily be undone by conditioning yourself with repeated exposure to the food. The veteran American food writer Jeffrey Steingarten did this when he was given his first food column, to rid himself of his shameful hatred of Greek food, anchovies and kimchi.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">One of the many possible scientific explanations for this is that, if you eat something that your body can easily digest and extract nutrients from, your brain will make it will taste better next time. If you haven't the nerve to eat something your perceive as gross, trying new foods on holiday - when you're happy, relaxed and open-minded - rose tints the taste buds no end. Bring on the sauteed fish eyes.</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-11292550136114168082016-05-11T11:16:00.002+04:002016-05-11T11:16:58.013+04:00Maple syrup can help cut down antibiotics use<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 12pt 0in 6pt;">

The findings suggest that a condition called heat stress nephropathy may represent a disease of neglected populations, but one that may emerge as a major cause of poor kidney health in the near future.</span><br />

</div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Drinking cherry juice can significantly reduce high blood pressure, particularly in males with early hypertension, to a level comparable to that achieved by medication, new research has found. High blood pressure if left untreated, increases risk of heart attack, heart failure, kidney disease, stroke or dementia. The findings showed that men who drank tart Montmorency cherry juice -- a variety of sour cherry -- saw a peak reduction in their blood pressure of seven millimetre of mercury (mmHg) in the three hours after consuming the drink.</span><br />

<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">When
you're young, learning is easy. You're open to new ideas, and get excited about
challenging yourself. You also have more time, and everyone around you is
encouraging you to take on new skills. But something happens as people start
getting older. For some reason, you begin to believe you know most things. Many
think that the subjects they studied in school are what they must limit
themselves to. In reality, you should never stop learning.</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C9JZpeRt_N8/Vy7tSsu6YWI/AAAAAAAACMU/KjMOS_V1Z48fivojU3LX5xons8wylhdbgCLcB/s1600/016-how-to-read-faster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="123" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C9JZpeRt_N8/Vy7tSsu6YWI/AAAAAAAACMU/KjMOS_V1Z48fivojU3LX5xons8wylhdbgCLcB/s320/016-how-to-read-faster.jpg" width="320" /></a> </b></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">The
brain is like any other muscle; you must work it out for it to get strong. The
problem we all see occurring with most people trying to learn is that they give
up too fast. Lack of efficiency leads to a lack of results, which leads to
demotivation. But it doesn't have to be this way; you can learn how to learn
better. There are a variety of ways to do this, and we will go through three of
the easiest, which you can apply right away. Start learning smarter, and you'll
achieve much more.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="color: firebrick; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">1. Understand that your mind is inherently lazy.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Our
bodies and minds do not like working. Until it becomes a habit, most of us do
not love going to the gym. We'd rather be sitting on the couch eating Oreos.
Your brain is no different. It doesn't like being forced to think through
problems and learn new skills at first. But once you've learn the fundamentals,
the brain doesn't need to do as much work, so it becomes easier.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Lets
go back to the gym example. The first time you lifted weights, you probably
were exhausted and somewhat awkward. But after going enough times, you most
likely noticed a change. You had to think less, your body showed results, and
all a sudden going to the gym became fun. The same lesson applies to your
brain. So when you're learning a new skill and it's hard at first, don't let
that discourage you. It's supposed to be hard. Keep fighting through, and
eventually you'll start to love it.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="color: firebrick; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">2. Switch back and forth less often.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Switching
back and forth between tasks causes your brain to do a lot of work. You have to
come back, refocus, and get in the correct mindset. Psychologists have discovered
that people's pupils dilate when they are pushing their mind to learn. This is
evidence of the concentration required to take on new skills. To learn
effectively, it requires someone's complete attention. Any kind of distraction
ruins your mind's ability to absorb information.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Because
of this, cut out all the distractions you can when you're learning. A great way
to do this is through time blocks, where you don't do anything but one task for
a period of time. Put the phone away, turn off the TV, and go into a room by
yourself. Once you have your mind in learning mode, you want to switch out of
it as few times as possible. Every time you make your brain refocus, you drain
its energy.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="color: firebrick; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">3. Lie to yourself about the skill.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">When
your mind tries to not get into learning mode, you'll feel it. You'll feel
tired, and start thinking of excuses to not do the task. Pushing it off until
tomorrow starts becoming an option, and it seems like it's impossible to
concentrate.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">In
these cases, you've got to lie to yourself to focus. One of the easiest ways to
do this is to force yourself to smile as you learn the material. Stick a pencil
between your teeth and make yourself grin. Study after study has shown that
faking a smile can affect our emotions in a positive way. Trick yourself until
what you've learned becomes fun. Learning new skills isn't easy, but it's one
of the things that make life so enjoyable.<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>

A new study has found that the health benefits of cycling and walking outweigh the air pollution risk.</span><br />

Only 1 percent of cities in the World Health Organization's Ambient Air Pollution Database had pollution levels high enough that the risks of air pollution could start to overcome the benefits of physical activity after half an hour of cycling every day.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Dr Marko Tainio, who led the study, said that the model indicates that in London health benefits of active travel always outweigh the risk from pollution. Even in Delhi, one of the most polluted cities in the world, with pollution levels ten times those in London, people would need to cycle over five hours per week before the pollution risks outweigh the health benefits.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">The authors caution that their model does not take into account detailed information on conditions within different localities in individual cities, the impact of short-term episodes of increased air pollution, or information on the background physical activity or disease history of individuals. For individuals who are highly active in non-transport settings, for example recreational sports, the marginal health benefits from active travel will be smaller, and vice versa for those who are less active than average in other settings.</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-11384159046634257732016-05-07T08:03:00.001+04:002016-05-07T08:03:19.725+04:00Six foods that can wake you up without a cup of coffee!<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Despite a full night sleep, there are days when you feel sleepy and can't stop the yawn attack. The researchers examined the potential of combining the three ingredients as a means of preventing atherosclerosis or 'furring' of the arteries.</span><br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Hwi6mGwfKXg/Vyl5gj3-m6I/AAAAAAAACKY/4ocps0hAQWMWLQmIWHKxx-LQLCHAZCdCgCKgB/s1600/20c14e2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Hwi6mGwfKXg/Vyl5gj3-m6I/AAAAAAAACKY/4ocps0hAQWMWLQmIWHKxx-LQLCHAZCdCgCKgB/s320/20c14e2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
We all have that inner voice--that tells you you're not going to make
it. That you're not good enough. You're undeserving. It's too late. You
can't win. You fail at everything. If you listen to it, that voice will
dictate the beliefs you hold about yourself. With these powerful
beliefs, you can change that voice, change your thoughts, change your
life. Record them in your mind and heart so there's no room for
negativity and doubt, and then aim for the stars.<br />
<br />
1. It's better to fail than to play it too safe. Failure is not a
grievous end but a stepping stone to success. That doesn't make it easy
or fun, but there are benefits to be gained. Life lessons tend to be
repeated until you learn them, and pain is one way the universe gets
your attention. Sometimes things fall apart so better things can fall
together.<br />
<br />
2. There is always an opportunity. The first step in any successful
venture is recognizing the opportunity. Opportunities are in front of
you every day, but to see them, you need to look at the world as a place
of hope and possibility, not of limits, obstacles, and problems.<br />
<br />
3. The only thing you can truly control is yourself. Trying to control
every situation in life is a long losing battle with constant
frustration and anger. The more you concentrate on what you can
control--your own preparation and responses--the better you can adapt to
whatever situation you find yourself in.<br />
<br />
4. Hard work and perseverance are always rewarded. Maybe not
immediately, and not in the way you think. But no matter what happens
with your current endeavors, you're getting closer to your goal. Every
time you push yourself, every time you make yourself keep trying, you're
building the muscles that will carry you over the finish line.<br />
<br />
5. Success is a destination, and it's rarely a straight one. We can be
thankful that our paths aren't straight. Straight ahead is as boring and
unchallenging as a superhighway, so embrace the chance to spend some
time on the back roads. Often the best things in life are the ones we
discover on the detours.<br />
<br />
6. History will always be our best teacher. Don't allow yourself to be
locked in the past. But that doesn't mean throwing it out entirely.
Learn from your past (and history in general). Interpret it and frame
it in a way that serves your future goals.<br />
<br />
7. Everything is going to be all right--maybe not today, but eventually.
As the proverb says, everything will be OK in the end--if it's not OK,
it's not the end. Take the long view. Remember, you don't navigate by
looking at your feet but at the horizon.<br />
<br />
We all have things we're proud of, things we wish we could take back,
things we want, things we'd like to do better. A successful, happy life
has a lot of components, and it looks different for everyone. But a
mindset of positive is one thing that virtually all of them have in
common, and it's something you can start creating today.Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-84355044976869898052016-05-03T11:26:00.001+04:002016-05-03T11:26:47.472+04:00Fatty liver may increase heart disease, mortality<div class="adn ads" style="background-color: white; border-left-color: transparent; border-left-style: solid; border-left-width: 1px; padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 8px;">

<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">A patient suffering from fatty liver disease is prone to an increased risk of heart disease as well as the mortality rates associated with it, a new study has found. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an increasingly common condition in patients with obesity, type 2 diabetes and arterial hypertension -- where high blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LJuSra1pupk/VyhSkI2DNRI/AAAAAAAACJ8/JsNFsA2Bc6Mfv2wUpMA_BZkiN8XIidoJACLcB/s1600/heart-21-10-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LJuSra1pupk/VyhSkI2DNRI/AAAAAAAACJ8/JsNFsA2Bc6Mfv2wUpMA_BZkiN8XIidoJACLcB/s320/heart-21-10-15.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">The findings showed that NAFLD is an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis -- the build-up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls -- which may lead to the advent of cardiovascular disease (CVD) -- heart diseases -- related deaths.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">"Evidence indicates that the fatty and inflamed liver expresses several pro-inflammatory and procoagulant factors, as well as genes involved in accelerated atherogenesis," said led researcher Raluca Pais from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">"This raises the possibility that the link between NAFLD and cardiovascular mortality might not simply be mediated by shared, underlying, common risk factors, but rather that NAFLD independently contributes to increasing this risk," added one of the researchers Vlad Ratziu, professor.</span></div>
</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">In patients with metabolic syndrome health problems like diabetes and stroke at risk for heart disease events, NAFLD contributes to early atherosclerosis and its progression, independent of traditional cardiovascular risk factors.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">"This indicates that NAFLD is a precursor of metabolic syndrome. It follows that the diagnosis of fatty liver is extremely important and therefore a thorough cardiovascular and metabolic work-up and strict monitoring of CVD or metabolic complications are needed in the clinical management of NAFLD," Pais noted in the paper published in Journal of Hepatology.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">The team undertook a large retrospective study of close to 6,000 patients between 1995 and 2012 to assess whether NAFLD is incidental to or is the cause of atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">Using the Fatty Liver Index (FLI) a well-validated biomarker, researchers observed that fatty liver is associated with thickness in the major blood vessels in the neck -- a pre-atherosclerotic problem that predicts heart disease events.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">Thickness in the blood vessels increases proportionally with FLI, and this association is independent of traditional cardiometabolic risk factors -- like diabetes, heart disease or stroke.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">Futher, patients with fatty liver were more likely to develop in the plaques resulting in thickness in the blood vessels over time.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">Fatty liver disease at baseline predicted the occurrence of carotid plaques independent of age, sex, type 2 diabetes, tobacco use, and other heart disease risk factors.</span></div>
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">Strict monitoring of cardiovascular disease recommended when managing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, the researchers suggested.</span></div>

You may soon have the recommendation of doctors to indulge a little as researchers have found that a dark chocolate bar daily could reduces the risk of developing diabetes and heart diseases. For the study, the researchers analysed data of 1,153 people aged 18-69 years old who were part of the Observation of Cardiovascular Risk in Luxembourg study.</span><br />

<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">It was found that those who ate 100 g of chocolate a day -- equivalent to a bar -- had reduced insulin resistance and improved liver enzymes. Insulin sensitivity is a well-established risk factor to cardiovascular disease.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">The findings were published in the British Journal of Nutrition. The analysis took into account lifestyle and dietary factors, including the simultaneous consumption of tea and coffee. This is because both drinks can be high in polyphenol, the substance which may provide chocolate with its beneficial cardiometabolic effects.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">"Given the growing body of evidence, including our own study, cocoa-based products may represent an additional dietary recommendation to improve cardio-metabolic health; however, observational results need to be supported by robust trial evidence," said Saverio Stranges, visiting academic at the University of Warwick Medical School in England.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">"Potential applications of this knowledge include recommendations by healthcare professionals to encourage individuals to consume a wide range of phytochemical-rich foods, which can include dark chocolate in moderate amounts," Stranges said.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">However, it is important to differentiate between the natural product cocoa and the processed product chocolate, which is an energy-dense food. Therefore, physical activity, diet and other lifestyle factors must be carefully balanced to avoid detrimental weight gain over time, the researchers warned.</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000625.2048493 55.270782800000006 25.2048493 55.270782800000006tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-88905458399933558722016-04-30T23:24:00.004+04:002016-04-30T23:24:57.644+04:00What Happens When You Drink Water Along With Your Food<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Sit at the Dinner table, and you'd find yourself invariably extending your hand to the glass of water on the side of your plate. While you may think it's absolutely necessary to have a glass of water during your meals, the truth is this habit of yours might be damaging your health. Read on to find out how.</span><br />
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12.8px;"><br /></span></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"></span>

<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">1. It Dilutes your Gastric Juices - When the digestive acids (acids responsible for the digestion and breakdown of food as well as for killing infectious agents ingested with food) present in your stomach are diluted with water, they bring about a slowdown in the functioning of your entire digestive system. This slowdown results in food remaining lodged in your stomach for a longer period than normal, thereby causing indigestion.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Additionally, the reaction caused by the dilution of water and stomach acids can give rise to cramps in your tummy.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">2. It Reduces the Saliva in your Mouth - The same thing that happens to the acids in your stomach, happens to your saliva as well. Water dilutes the saliva, which stops the breakdown of food in your mouth. Also, your saliva is responsible for stimulating your stomach to release digestive enzymes and prepare itself for the process of digestion. By drinking water with your meals, such signals sent by your saliva to your stomach become much weaker. All these together can make digestion very difficult.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">3. It Causes Acidity - Studies show that drinking water with your meals not only leads to the dilution of digestive enzymes, but also brings about a reduction in the secretion of digestive enzymes. This causes the undigested food in your stomach to leak into the lower part of your oesophagus (food pipe), causing acidity and heart burn.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">4. It increases insulin Production - Sipping on water in the middle of lunch (or any other meal for that matter) causes a spike in your insulin levels just as glycaemic foods (foods with high starch or sugar content such as honey, potatoes, white bread, rice to name a few) would. When your body is unable to digest food properly, it usually tends to convert the glucose filled part of that food into fat and stores it, reason why your blood sugar levels see an upsurge.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">5. It Adds to your Weight - Since drinking water causes an increase in insulin levels in your body (as the food you eat is converted to fat), it can result in the piling of extra weight on your body. This is because a weak digestive system is one of the major causes behind obesity.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Try having your meals with less salt and drink water 30 minutes before each meal to control your thirst when you're eating. This can help you in controlling the negative effects that drinking water with your meals can have on your health.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Make a wise choice and stay healthy.</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-58418383726621278062016-04-30T07:42:00.000+04:002016-04-30T07:42:10.365+04:00Cyber Security Guidance for Organisations<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Cyberspace has revolutionised how many of us live and work. The internet, with its more than two billion users, is powering economic growth, increasing collaboration and innovation, and creating jobs. Protecting key information assets is of critical importance to the sustainability and competitiveness of businesses today. Companies need to be on the front foot in terms of their cyber preparedness. Cyber security is all too often thought of as an IT issue, rather than the strategic risk management issue it actually is.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_1Ej4uovJ1A/VyQpQ179PeI/AAAAAAAACHs/rzRcmO65lC8NVKJBy0TSyU3v2G91PewdQCKgB/s1600/cyber%2Battack-20-6-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_1Ej4uovJ1A/VyQpQ179PeI/AAAAAAAACHs/rzRcmO65lC8NVKJBy0TSyU3v2G91PewdQCKgB/s320/cyber%2Battack-20-6-15.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Every day, all around the world, thousands of IT systems are compromised. Some are attacked purely for the kudos of doing so, others for political motives, but most commonly they are attacked to steal money or commercial secrets. Are you confident that your cyber security governance regime minimises the risks of this happening to your business?</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Companies benefit from managing risks across their organisations; drawing effectively on senior management support, risk management policies and processes, a risk aware culture and the assessment of risks against objectives.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">In the course of last few years, malware or malicious software has been a serious threat to businesses. In fact, in terms of frequency, it occupies the top most position. A program that is designed to copy itself and propagate, it can spread when you download files, exchange CDs, DVDs and the USB sticks or copy files from the server. You can also get a virus attack in case an employee opens an infected email attachment. Application specific hacks, blended attacks, unsecured wireless networks and disgruntled employees pose other security threats. Fortunately enough, there are several steps you can take to protect business of internet security threats. Let us take a look.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Know the Threats</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Cyber security preparation starts with complete understanding of the external and internal vulnerabilities capacitated to affect business. Make sure to know about the different types of security attacks you may fall prey to. Identify the things that will harm you most in case it falls into the hand of your competitors or some other malicious party. As soon as you identify the information, it’s time to find the tools you will require for protecting the valued details.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Take Protective Measures</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Make sure that all the computers that your employees use are protected by firewall, anti-spyware and antivirus programs. There are a few solutions that address all three levels of protection. Make sure it offers protection from spam, identity theft and phishing scams.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Opt for Updated Security Programs</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">New threats are emerging every day. You need to keep your security program updated to remain guarded and keep your infrastructure perfectly secure. The security solutions will fail to be effective in case they are not updated. Fortunately enough, most of the security solutions get updated automatically. Make sure you update soon after you get the alert.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Ensure Better Protection for the Wireless Networks</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">One of the prime concerns for the users of wireless networks is keeping the router and the network secure. With the aid of a powerful antenna and a few hacking software, the hackers seated close to the installation or driving by can easily scan the data that is flowing in your network.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">You can take a few steps to secure your wireless network.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Set up a unique password</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Use WPA2 encryption</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Alter default SSID name</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Change router default</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Bring down the range of wireless network</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">• Use complex passwords</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Restrict Access</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Make sure that each employee can access only the requisite data. You can create a separate account for each employee and protect the account using strong passwords. Remember that strong passwords must be made combining letters and numbers. The passwords should not be shared or displayed.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">A significant percentage of security breaches do not take place owing to technical vulnerabilities but relies on social engineering as well as the willingness of people to trust others. In most of the organizations, either the employees share everything or nothing. None of these approaches are desirable. There must be an element of trust among the employees, but data sharing needs to be checked. This is possible only through running an awareness program. It is not enough to tell the employees that opening email attachments of unreliable sources are not right. You must tell them what can take place in case emails of an unreliable source are opened.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">A secure network is a robust network. Cyber-attacks can happen in minutes and are often very hard to detect. Make sure that you take all essential steps to prevent security breach.</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-87140851997468712892016-04-29T11:22:00.001+04:002016-04-29T11:22:42.593+04:00Five tips on how to shake hands with confidence<div class="adn ads" style="background-color: white; border-left-color: transparent; border-left-style: solid; border-left-width: 1px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 8px;">

When you meet someone — whether it be a business associate, a host at an event or a colleague you haven't met in a long time — your first response is to stick your hand out. And that's the appropriate reaction. However, what comes next may not be perfect and could let down your whole greeting — a botched handshake. So, before you stick your hand and neck out, read these pointers to seal the deal.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-STREUdjwDRw/VyMLhRGGxbI/AAAAAAAACG8/0rVakm5QeBkPh8_XMAlsKXm0ssJhh3u6ACKgB/s1600/handshake-14-5-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-STREUdjwDRw/VyMLhRGGxbI/AAAAAAAACG8/0rVakm5QeBkPh8_XMAlsKXm0ssJhh3u6ACKgB/s1600/handshake-14-5-15.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />The hard hand: Have you ever been on the receiving end of a limp handshake and cringe at the thought of that experience? While we can all agree that a weak grip and flimsy palm is unpleasant, in your eagerness to do the opposite, don't use a bear grip. Your aim is to be firm but not bone-crushing. So let the power extend from your elbow and not your shoulder. The aim is to make an impression but not leave your own finger impressions on their skin.<br /><br />The slippery hand: In hot and humid conditions, it's natural to sweat. It's uncomfortable but that doesn't mean you have to share your discomfort with someone else. Before you shake hands, make sure they are dry because a slimy, wet hand will ensure you're remembered for all the wrong reasons. Carry a handkerchief in your pocket or simply wipe down your hands on your pant leg before going in for the shake.<br /><br />The looooong one: Things can go from familiar and friendly to uncomfortable in just a few seconds. A handshake that goes beyond 3-4 seconds, will immediately take you into awkward territory. So, extend your hand, shake it up and down for a few seconds and then disengage. A long handshake is you just holding hands with your business associate. Don't make them feel like they need to ask you for their hand back.<br /><br />The cupper: Also known as the politician's handshake, this is a bad idea, especially if you are meeting someone for the first time. The cupper is when someone holds your one hand with both their hands — while it's meant to signify fondness and enthusiasm, it can often come across as needy and overbearing. Save these handshakes only for work associates you are fond of or if you are meeting someone after an extended period of time.<br /><br />The looker: The most underrated aspect of a handshake has nothing to do with your hands at all. Eye contact is one of the lesser known traits of a good shake. Never look at your hands when you are greeting someone but always at their face. It helps you connect. But no glaring and certainly don't attempt not to blink. Smile, look them in the face and say hello.<div class="yj6qo">

So much to do; so little time in which to do it. Finite resources; infinite needs. People to see, places to go, things to do. No time to say hello, good-bye. I’m late for a very important meeting. Sound familiar? That’s life and work. Everyone has more to do than they can get to. The higher up you go in the organisation, the more you have to do and the less time you have to do it. Nobody can do it all. You have to set priorities and manage your time to survive and prosper. Here are ten ways to become a do it now person:</span><br />
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12.8px;"><br /></span></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o5WBKJmCLRw/VyBvERMLCPI/AAAAAAAACGg/Kk7tnUafDZ8M6f69IT1vZ9NL1iu1jyesQCLcB/s1600/mediterranean-diet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o5WBKJmCLRw/VyBvERMLCPI/AAAAAAAACGg/Kk7tnUafDZ8M6f69IT1vZ9NL1iu1jyesQCLcB/s1600/mediterranean-diet.jpg" /></a></div>
<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Set goals. Nothing manages time better than a goal, a plan and a measure. Set goals for yourself. These goals are essential for setting priorities. If you do not have goals, you can’t set time priorities. Using the goals, separate what you need to do into important/urgent (necessity), important/not urgent (effectiveness), not important/urgent (deception) and not important/not urgent (waste and excess).</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Lay out tasks and work on a time line. Most successful time managers begin with a good plan for time. What do I need to accomplish? What are the goals? What’s critical and what’s trivial? What’s the time line? Many people are seen as lacking time management skills because they don’t write down the sequence or parts of the work and leave something out. Ask others to comment on your proposed sequence of actions.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Manage your time effectively. Plan your time and manage against it. Be time sensitive. Value time. Figure out what you are worth per hour and minute by taking your gross salary plus overhead and benefits. Attach a monetary value on your time. Then ask, is this worth, say, £100 of my time? Review your calendar over the past 90 days to figure out what your three largest time wasters are and reduce them by grouping activities and using efficient communications like e-mail and voice mail for routine matters. Make a list of points to be covered in phone calls; set deadlines for yourself; use your best time of day for the toughest tasks.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Create more time for yourself. Taking time to plan and set priorities actually frees up more time later than just diving into things, hoping that you can get it done on time. Most people out of time claim they didn’t have time to plan their time. In the Stephen Covey Seven Habits of Highly Successful People sense, it’s sharpening your saw.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Give away as much time-consuming work as you can. This can be done by a little planning and by delegating things you don’t have to do yourself. Try to give as much as possible to others. The win-win is that people enjoy being delegated to and empowered. You win; they win.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Find someone in your network that is better at time management than you are. Watch what they do and compare against what you typically do. Try to increase doing the things they do and don’t do. Ask for feedback from people who have commented on your poor time management. What did they find difficult?</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Be careful not to be guided by just what you like and what you don’t like to do. That way of using your time will probably not be successful in the long term. Use data, intuition and even feelings to apportion your time, but not feelings alone.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Be sensitive to the time of others. Generally, the higher up you go or the higher up the person you are interacting with is, the less time you and they have. Be time efficient with others. Use as little of their time as possible. Get to it and get done with it. Give them an opportunity to open new avenues for discussion or to continue, but if they don’t, say your good-byes and leave.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Others will always ask you to do more than you can do. An important time saver is the ability to constructively say no. One technique people use is to ask the requester which of the other things they have asked you to do would they like to cancel or delay in order to do the most recent request. That way you say both yes and no and let the requester choose.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Another common time waster is inadequate disengagement skills. Some poor time managers can’t shut down transactions. Either they continue to talk beyond what would be necessary, or more commonly, they can’t get the other party to quit talking. When it’s time to move on, just say, “I have to get on to the next thing I have to do; we can pick this up some other time.”</span>Sherin Rafihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04496437694912985118noreply@blogger.com0Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates25.2048493 55.27078280000000624.2844128 53.9798893 26.1252858 56.561676300000009tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-855105733339846794.post-56331439815891009882016-04-26T23:15:00.000+04:002016-04-26T23:15:54.853+04:00Mediterranean diet may lower heart attacks, strokes risk<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Mediterranean" diet, high in fruit, vegetables, fish and unrefined foods, is likely to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in people who already have heart disease, finds a new study.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">The findings showed that for every 100 people eating the highest proportion of healthy "Mediterranean" foods, there were three fewer heart attacks, strokes or deaths compared to 100 people eating the least amount of healthy foods.</span><br />

It assumes that achieving high levels of organizational performance depends on employees who are strongly committed to achieving the goals of the organization, and who show this through their actions. This behavioural objective is influenced in turn by levels of employee satisfaction, and by supportive, respectful and healthy work environments. Workplace well-being is connected to physical health and wellness but primarily emphasizes the social and psychological dimensions of three inter-related elements - workplace, workforce, and the work people do.</span><br />
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12.8px;"><br /></span></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"></span>

<br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">There is a way where you can springboard your employees into happiness and make them care for your business, however it doesn’t happen overnight. Here are few of the steps to create a workplace wellbeing culture</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Educate your managers</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Managers need to be able to understand the benefits that a happy workforce can bring to the table. Install this culture and thought process into your managers and you’re half way there. On average managers maintain more active relationships with lower level employees, and can influence employees to change daily habits and behaviours.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Invest in your managers</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Emotional intelligence can play a vital role in shifting a business’s culture. Train your managers to identify and assess emotions so that they can create a positive environment for employees. Managers who can help recognise and maximise an employee’s qualities can use this for the greater good of the team, strengthening the group as a whole.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Create feedback loops</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">All employees express themselves differently. Managers need to be able to understand this and use their employees’ preferred method. A way to achieve this can be by installing a feedback loop within your business that allows your employees to confide in managers, regardless of the issue.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Socialise more</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Encourage socialising among your employees. If you enjoy who you work with, you’re more than likely to work better together. Social aspects of work are key ingredients for workplace happiness. Increase working in teams, and champion face to face interaction as a replacement for office emails.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Provide workplace benefits that matter</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">A little goes a long way. Workplace benefits that don’t cost a fortune can be some of the most rewarding. This obviously has to be calculated and be offered as a reward for when your employees have gone above and beyond their job description. Use this as an alternative to financial rewards.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Accept responsibility and introduce accountability for all employees</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">No business goes without conflicts and internal disputes. This can be the nail in the coffin for some workplace wellbeing initiatives. Through management level accepting responsibility and fellow employees being held accountable for their work output, whenever conflicts arise it can be diffused with minimal confusion. Undertaking this initiative is imperative to secure the long term success of your business’s culture and ensuring they’re happy at work.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Take an interest in your employees well-being</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">Whether an employee has been on holiday, or been off ill for a period of time, take interest in what’s of interest to them.
